Llano County and the City of Llano are again being asked to provide critical funding to support operations at Llano Regional Hospital after their separation from Mid Coast Central, which was official April 1, 2025.

In November 2024, Llano City Council approved $668,500 to fund the hospital - $400,000 from Llano Economic Development Corporation reserves - and Llano County gave $450,000.

At a special-called meeting on Monday, June 2, Llano County Commissioners voted unanimously to allocate $300,000 to the hospital. The funding includes $200,000 from the county’s miscellaneous contingency fund and $100,000 from its election contingency fund, effectively depleting both line items for the remainder of the fiscal year. The motion, introduced by Precinct 2 Commissioner Linda Raschke and seconded by Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Don Moss, passed without opposition. Commissioners Peter Jones and Brent Richards were not in attendance.
