Seven people were injured in a “mass casualty incident” last Friday near Johnson City.
According to information provided by Blanco County EMS Chief Ben Oakley, emergency officials were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1:33 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 281 North at Old River Crossing. Everyone was asked to avoid the area.
Units were on scene immediately and found a two-vehicle accident blocking the roadway with multiple patients. Ultimately, a total of seven patients were identified. There were five adult and two pediatric patients.
