Blanco County residents were recently provided an opportunity to have their well water samples screened for common contaminants.
Items screened for included fecal coliform, E. coli bacteria, nitrates, arsenic, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and high salinity.
Joel Pigg of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas Well Owner Network (TWON) administered the program. He has extensive field experience and a deep commitment to protecting Texas groundwater and travels statewide leading workshops and water quality testing events.
