A major new transmission project proposed by Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC and the Lower Colorado River Authority Transmission Services Corporation (LCRA TSC) could bring high-voltage power lines to rural properties across 14 Central Texas counties.
The proposed 765 kilovolt (kV) transmission line—one of the largest voltage lines in Texas—would stretch from an expanded Oncor switch station southeast of Temple in Bell County, to a new substation near LCRA’s existing Big Hill facility northeast of Eldorado in Schleicher County.
